This is the same NCsoft that during the spate of hacking incidents last year (or was it 2 years ago?) which affected both GW and Aion, had one of their top-level staff explicitly blame it on the fault of players and not at all acknowledge the critical flaws in the NCSMA system which were pointed out multiple times on both GW and Aion forums.

Yeap. I got lucky a month ago, but this time around, I think I'm screwed.
This new user is claiming it's his account and opened a support ticket as well, claiming I stole it. It appears, somehow, NCSoft took this as true, because he has the same name. That was enough
My credit card info, my CD Keys and my friends list and all that...none of them matter.
Now most likely everything will be deleted or the account perma locked and I'll lose access to everything I purchased and my GW2 Pre-Purchase.
Seriously. I know they're busy with the whole GW2 Beta thing, but their support is really dropping the ball.
They already got my 59.99$, so...if I'm not getting my account back, I'm not buying another copy.
Seriously hate to miss out on GW2, but hey...not dealing with that bullshit.

This - http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/b...tml?t=10200720 - might be the reason someone else has your key. You bought your Factions key from a disreputable gold seller. To your eye, they "looked legit." They're not - and they've never BEEN "legit."
Two things about buying from companies like this -
1) People who make purchases from companies like this are actually demonstrating a scary level of ignorance about online security. In other words - if you'd buy from them and tell yourself they look legitimate, then you are the kind of person who can probably be easily conned by other websites or phishers as well. I am NOT saying this to try and insult you - I am hoping it will allow you to see that you have demonstrated questionable judgment about what is/is not "legit" online in the hopes it will keep you from making similar mistakes in the future so this does not happen to you AGAIN.
2) Companies like this are out to make money. They will do this by any shady means possible - including reselling keys, selling any personal/billing information they have on you, targeting you for scams, etc.
It's an almost inevitable chain of progression from making purchases from companies like this to having your account compromised. It is never a question of IF you'll be hacked... it's a question of WHEN.
Stop dealing with NCSoft email support - call them tomorrow morning instead. Deal with a live person over the phone rather than going back and forth via email. (512) 225-6359 between 12pm-5pm Central time. Tell them that you feel that you and their reps are having difficulty communicating via email. Tell them you don't feel as if their reps are actually understanding what you are trying to tell them, and you feel verbal communication is necessary to convey accurate information. You DO NEED to tell them this in order to get them to look into this over the phone - because generally, they will NOT address hacked accounts over the phone.

Except the fact that I did, in the end, buy the CD Key from NCSoft. That's not really relevant. I ended up buying directly from NCSoft and my account purchases reflect that.
So Mystery not solved. Trying to look for an easy out you people are.

They Probably got in cuz you used the same pw. Many believe that security leak is ncsoft. Many got hacked after linking their account to the master account. Be really cool of them to announce that there was someone doing that and they fired them. Won't happen cuz they are not looking.

Read again.
You have to use the same Password. They don't allow you not to.

I didnt set mines up that way, but that seems to be the problem. Why not allow multiple pws? It's like they set people up to be hacked.
A few people who linked accounts early in got hacked. Some gamers put 2 and 2 together, but NCsoft never publicly commented on it. With gold sellers making real money, it's probably not hard to get account info from someone who works there. People continued to link their accounts and lose them.
I forfeit the extra storage cuz I decided my account security was more important than the extra storage tab. They asked for my keys to proove ownership and I decided against it. Later they let me set it up without the keys. But its not the same pw. I think they decided it was more important that I was set up for gw2.

Your own words, from the post Gizzy linked.
"I bought from them, took em 3 hours, got key in Email, worked out fine, 10$ cheaper, can't beat that. Sorry if I'm supporting the Gold selling site, but it's PlayNC's fault for not supporting PayPal :P Legit site."
Gold Selling sites are not Legit.. and now you know why. You made a poor consumer choice, and now are blasting Anet to fix a problem you created.
(perhaps this post will be removed as well.)

If you actually bought one of your games from an "unofficial source" which you seems to have done according to that thread, it is your own damn fault.
Don't go giving shit to NCSoft/ArenaNet because you are can't be fussed to buy the game directly from a real source.
